Memorial

Dedicated in 1973, our memorial pays tribute to all Rotterdam Fire District #2 firefighters who have passed away. The memorial reads, "Dedicated to the firemen who have answered the last alarm."  This memorial is just a small token of our gratitude to departed RFD#2 firefighters, and serves as a way to remember their legacy. As seen in the images above, if there is a black cape present on the memorial, that is the somber sign that a RFD#2 member (past or present) has passed away.
